The Low Down: Small RV park with permanent residents on the Snake river in a little burg south/east of Boise. Good for a 1 night stopover. Totally grass, everywhere, you park on the grass, which sounds great, but it’s very, very soft and hard to level the RV. I don’t have auto levelers and broke almost all of my boards trying to jack up the RV 6 inches. Park is a little green oasis in the middle of a industrial area. Towns nearby are tiny, poor farming towns. The bathrooms/showers are nice and clean. People were fishing off the small dock on the river and catching catfish. Lots of bugs, couldn’t read inside the coach at night due to so many tiny bugs that got through the screens. The grass is swarming with bugs, the dogs didn’t really want to hang out in the grass. You cannot put down a mat or anything down on the precious grass!
Mojo Factor: Didn’t feel a thing at this RV park, permanent residents keep to themselves, others are there mostly for 1 night.
The Dogs Opinion (it’s all about the dogs): Basically not a dog friendly park at all. There are signs about every 20 feet to leash and pick up after your dog. The park is small so there is no place to really exercise your dog. There are acres of grass, would be easy for this park owner to fence in a spot for the dogs which would have been fun for the dogs to interact with other dogs and snoop around. The grass is PERFECT, which means they use regular herbicides, I’m not a fan of that.
What’s nearby? I didn’t leave the park, but driving through Homedale when I left left a lot to be desired.
TV? Got several channels over the air including all three networks
Cell phone/Wi-Fi? Good Verizon, forgot to measure, but plenty of mbps.
Parting thoughts: would look for a better park for the dogs next time coming through here. This is not a dog friendly park. You might feel differently, if you have a dog who doesn’t require much exercise, this might be nice.
You haven’t had much luck the last couple days with RV parks. Hopefully, the good ones are coming up. Are you headed to Oregon from here?
Hey Linda, I did have some good luck, stay tuned. Found a great spot in Dayville, OR. Now we are in Bend/Sunriver, OR at the Thousand Trails campground, it’s a dog’s paradise. Here for a week, it’s pretty great.
Wonderful! I love Bend, my niece lives there. If you get near Lincoln city let me know, would love to meet you 3!!
Awesome Linda, I will definitely be in that area at some point, so remind me if you see me headed to the coast. I would love to meet you.
That’s funny Juliet!
Maybe for people who like to look at grass rather than play on it
Great review
I appreciate your keen honesty!?
Hello Peg, definitely for those who like to look at perfect grass!
Hey, I know a great RV spot. Plenty of shade, dog friendly, free electricity, free second vehicle for guest use, oodles of dog stimulation, no pesticides on natural blend grasses fenced area. However, it’s nowhere near your destination.
Ha ha Miss Jenny! Will come back to see you when I’m in the area!
